Privacy
This website works without cookies, without tracking and without embedded third-party services. Here is what that means in practice.
Please note: this English text is a translation provided for convenience. In the event of any discrepancy, the German version is the legally binding one.
1. In brief
- This website sets no cookies. That is why there is no cookie banner.
- There is no analytics and no tracking. We do not know who visits this site.
- No third-party content is loaded. Fonts, images, scripts and stylesheets are all served by this website itself.
- There is no contact form. You can reach us by phone, WhatsApp or email.
- For appointment booking we link to Calendly. The service is not embedded, no data is sent until you click the link. See point 7.
- For technical reasons our host stores server log files. The site is delivered via Cloudflare Pages, a service of a US company. See points 3 and 4.
2. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:
Happy Kids Salzspielplatz GmbHIna Kaul
Heidelberger Landstraße 186B
64297 Darmstadt
Germany
Phone: +49 151 29002970
Email: info@happy-kids-salzspielplatz.de
We are not required to appoint a data protection officer under section 38 of the German Federal Data Protection Act. For any privacy questions please contact us directly using the details above.
3. Server log files
When you access this website, our host (see point 4: Cloudflare) automatically stores information that your browser transmits. This is technically necessary in order to deliver the page. The following is recorded:
- the address requested (URL)
- date and time of access
- volume of data transferred and server status message
- browser type and version
- operating system used
- the previously visited page (referrer), if your browser transmits it
- the IP address of your device
Purpose: delivering the website, ensuring technical operation and defending against attacks.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in providing this website in a technically correct and secure manner.
Retention: log files are deleted automatically after a short time. This data is not combined with other data sources and is not evaluated for marketing purposes.
4. Hosting via Cloudflare Pages
This website is delivered via Cloudflare Pages, a service of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (“Cloudflare”).
Cloudflare operates a worldwide network of servers. When you open this website, your request is served from the technically most suitable location in that network. In doing so, Cloudflare processes the connection data listed under point 3, in particular your IP address, in server log files.
Purpose: delivering the website, ensuring operational security, defending against attacks (such as denial-of-service attacks) and improving loading speed.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in providing this website securely, reliably and quickly.
Data processing agreement: A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Cloudflare. Cloudflare incorporates this agreement (its “Data Processing Addendum”) into its customer contracts automatically.
Transfer to the USA: Cloudflare is a US company, so processing outside the European Union cannot be ruled out. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. In addition, Cloudflare has incorporated the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses into its data processing agreement. For completeness we note that, despite these measures, access by US authorities cannot be excluded with absolute certainty.
Further information: Cloudflare’s privacy policy is available at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy and its data processing addendum at cloudflare.com/cloudflare-customer-dpa.
For the plain delivery of this website Cloudflare sets no cookies on your device. We have not enabled any security features that would use cookies.
5. No cookies, no tracking
This website sets no cookies and uses no comparable technologies such as local storage or tracking pixels. A consent banner is therefore not required.
We use no analytics tools. There is no Google Analytics, no Matomo, no advertising networks, no social media pixels and no reach measurement. We do not create usage profiles.
6. Fonts and images
All fonts, images, stylesheets and scripts are delivered by this website itself, that is from the same address as the page (see point 4). In particular, we do not load Google Fonts from Google servers. Opening this page therefore establishes no connection to third-party servers.
The same applies to maps: we embed neither Google Maps nor any other map application. On the contact page you will instead find plain links that you can choose to click. Only then do you leave our website.
7. Contact, booking and voucher purchase
There is no contact form on this website. You can reach us in the following ways:
Phone
When you call, we process your phone number and the information you give us during the conversation in order to deal with your request.
If you write to us, we process your email address and the content of your message. Please note that email transmission over the internet may be unencrypted.
If you message us via WhatsApp, your data is processed by WhatsApp Ireland Limited and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited. Data may also be transferred to countries outside the European Union. We have no influence over this processing, and WhatsApp's own privacy policy applies. If you would prefer to avoid this, please use the phone or email instead.
Booking via Calendly
For booking salt room sessions and courses we link to the service Calendly, operated by Calendly LLC, 271 17th St NW, Atlanta, GA 30363, USA.
Important: Calendly is not embedded on this website. It is an ordinary link. As long as you do not click it, no data is transmitted to Calendly. Only when you click do you leave our website, and Calendly's own privacy policy then applies.
If you book an appointment there, Calendly processes the details you enter, usually name, email address and the chosen slot, together with technical connection data. This data is also processed on servers in the USA. We receive the booking details in order to carry out the appointment.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures and performance of the contract).
Transfer to a third country: The transfer to the USA is based on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and on certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Details are set out in Calendly's privacy policy at calendly.com/privacy.
If you would prefer to avoid this, simply book by phone on +49 151 29002970. This is entirely equivalent and puts you at no disadvantage.
Buying a voucher through the online shop
Gift vouchers can be bought online through a shop we operate using the SumUp service. This shop is not embedded in our website either, we only link to it. As long as you do not click the link, no data is transmitted.
If you buy a voucher there, SumUp processes the details you enter, usually name, email address and payment data, in order to complete the purchase. We receive the information required to redeem the voucher. The payment data itself is processed by SumUp, not by us.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (performance of the contract) and Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR for commercial and tax retention obligations.
Details of the processing by SumUp are set out in their privacy notice at sumup.com/en-gb/privacy.
If you would prefer to avoid this, you can get a voucher from us on site just as easily. Only the details printed on the card are recorded in that case.
Purpose: handling your enquiry, for example a booking request.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to the initiation or performance of a contract, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries).
Retention: we delete your enquiry once it has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply. Statutory periods apply to tax-relevant records.
8. External links and social networks
This website contains links to external services, including our Instagram profile, WhatsApp, the booking service Calendly, our voucher shop hosted with SumUp, Google Maps and OpenStreetMap. This content is not embedded, these are ordinary links.
Only when you click one of these links is a connection to the respective provider established and your IP address transmitted to them. The respective provider alone is responsible for data processing on the linked pages. Please consult their information about how your data is handled.
9. Data when you visit us in person
When you reserve a slot, we note the details required for it, usually name, phone number, appointment and the number and approximate ages of the participating children. This processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR.
Payments on our premises generate the usual billing and accounting data. We retain this in accordance with commercial and tax law retention periods, generally ten years (Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR).
10. Your rights
You have the following rights in relation to us at any time:
- Access to the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR)
An informal message to info@happy-kids-salzspielplatz.de is sufficient.
11. Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is:
Der Hessische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und InformationsfreiheitPostfach 3163
65021 Wiesbaden
Germany
12. Encryption
This website is delivered exclusively over an encrypted HTTPS connection. You can recognise this by the padlock symbol in your browser's address bar. Requests over unencrypted HTTP are redirected automatically to the encrypted connection.
13. Changes to this policy
We update this privacy policy when the legal situation or our services change. The version published here is the one that applies.
